Inscribed "To the Missing of The Somme", the Thiepval memorial lists the names of 73000 men who were never identified and have no grave bearing their name.

Sgt. Herbert Game, who was killed at the Somme. Left: Remembered at Thiepval. Right: On War Memorial at Chelsfield, Kent
Herbert Larke, Lancashire Fusiliers, is remembered on Panel 33 (of 99) in Pozieres Cemetery near Thiepval. 14000 men with no known grave are remembered there.
